New Jersey Dual Enrollment Study Commission 2022 report incorporates student outcomes, policy and strategies for increasing enrollment
New Jersey’s Governor and Dept. of Education released a comprehensive report from the work of a dual enrollment commission, charged with assessing the status of dual credit programing (enrollment, access, funding, staffing, more). The 2022 Report is a good review of traditional student outcomes, but it also heard from focus groups to learn of both benefits and challenges for the programing. this is an interesting piece by Caitlyn Shelton entitled, “State-by-state teacher shortages (and what they’re doing about it). It provides a short description of the state’s awareness of shortages and some insight into initiatives or policy direction taken to remedy teacher shortages. The College in High School Alliance recently forwarded a report by Education Trust – West, entitled Jumpstart: Setting Goals to Drive Equitable Dual Enrollment Participation in California’s Community Colleges, and an accompanying data mapping tool.
