Four year institutions are now on board with recruiting strategies that bring college closer to high school students. Dual credit is proving to be a solid influencer for selecting a two or four year degree pathway by students who may have shied away from post secondary options. Its driven by a demographic diminishing shift in college age student populations and in minority and low income student populations. what was once a program designed to challenge high performing students is now expanding to incorporate broader objectives of student engagement, access and equity.
